Royal Opera House Jette Parker Artists Programme - Singer Auditions (2025-2027)

This application closed on Wednesday September 25, 2024.

Before completing this application, please refer to the Singer Audition Guidelines on the Royal Opera House website for full details about the application and audition processes.

Please note that the deadline for receiving complete applications is Wednesday 25 September 2024. Please submit your application in advance with enough time for your two references to write and submit their letters of recommendation.

It is the your responsibility to ensure that your application is complete by the deadline. You can check back on your application's status by logging into YAP Tracker.

Confidentiality

Please note that personal details included in the Equal Opportunities Monitoring section will not be seen by the panel, and will not affect your application in any way.

Information about references

After you have submitted your application, the references you have listed below will receive an email with a link to YAP Tracker so that they can upload their reference directly, by the deadline. Please check back to ensure that the two letters have been submitted. If it is getting close to the deadline and they are yet to do so, you can add up to two more references below. More information about the letters of recommendation and what they should contain can be found on the Royal Opera House website in the Singer Audition Guidelines.

Information about recordings

We require recent audio recordings, if possible, presenting three contrasting arias. Please do not upload videos.

The recordings do not need to be of professional quality and is better to include a home-made recording than to miss the deadline trying to arrange a professional recording. The recording must be a full single-capture of each aria without editing. Ideally, the audio should not be taken from a recording of a live staged performance. Please select contrasting pieces that show us the range and capability of your voice; you should sing pieces you have studied well and are within your capacity to sing well now. The arias may be in any language, and can be from cannon or contemporary repertoire.

You will be notified by the Jette Parker Artists Programme on the outcome of the selection process by Friday 11 October 2024.

Please contact Isobel Lawson at JPAPAssistant@roh.org.uk with any questions regarding this application. For technical help, please contact help@yaptracker.com.
