ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The candidates will be selected by means of an audition. The audition will consist on the following parts. Part a) is disqualifying. Only the candidates who pass the part a), will take part in the rest of the parts (b-d).

a) Playing one of the following excerpts, chosen by the jury among the following:

- Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: Obertura to Le nozze di Figaro.

- Pietro Mascagni: Intermezzo from Cavalleria rusticana.

Playing (and singing in the vocal lines)

- Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: Die Zauberflöte. No 8 Finale

“Zum Ziele führt dich diese Bahn” until the end of act I.

- Giuseppe Verdi: Rigoletto. Atto Primo, Scena e Duetto (Gilda e Duca) “Giovanna?..ho dei rimorsi…” up to the cabaletta “Addio, addio… speranza ed anima…” included.

- Giacomo Puccini: Madama Butterfly. Atto Primo, Duo (Pinkerton – Cio-Cio-San) “Bimba dagli occhi pieni di malìa…” until the end of act I.

- George Bizet: Carmen. No 26 Final duo (Carmen-Don Jose) “C’est toi!...C’est moi…” until the end of the opera.

b) Sight-reading and following a conductor’s beat in all or in part of the pieces from part a), chosen by the jury.

c) Working session with a singer selected by the jury, and without prior rehearsal, on a fragment chosen by the jury among the following:

Gaetano Donizetti: Maria Stuarda . “Oh nube! che lieve per l’aria t’aggiri...”

Henri Duparc: Au pays où se fait la guerre (in F minor)

Joaquín Turina: Poema en forma de canciones. Cantares (in A minor-A major)

Maurice Ravel: Vocalise-étude, en forma de habanera (in F minor-F major)

Enric Granados: Elegía eterna (in D minor)

Gustav Mahler: Des Knaben Wunderhorn. Es sungen drei Engel einen süssen Gesang (in F major)
