Opera Birmingham Auditions 2015-2016

Opera Birmingham will be holding auditions in New York City on August 17 & 18, 2015, including a limited number of slots for non-managed artists interested in comprimario roles in future seasons.

Repertoire under consideration for comprimario artists include a January 2016 production of La Traviata, with future possible productions including Romeo and Juliet, Dead Man Walking, Pearl Fishers and Dead Man Walking. (Please note: All principal artists have been cast for La Traviata, and we are currently only hearing artists for comprimario roles at this time.)

Requests for comprimario auditions must be submitted through YAP Tracker’s online application. In addition to your resume and headshot, artists should submit recordings of two contrasting arias recorded in the last two years.

Applications are due by July 1, and all applicants will be notified of our scheduling decisions by July 15 at the latest.
