Resume*
Please submit your most up-to-date resume, showing roles and dates of opera performances (even if they were cancelled by COVID). Remember: you may not have been a past or current recipient of a contract for a principal role with an OPERA America Budget Level 1 company or its international equivalent. Cover, chorus, and comprimario roles with Level 1 companies are allowed.
You must be signed in to add your resume.
Proof of U.S. Residency You must submit one of the following: a copy of a current U.S. passport valid through May 18, 2021; a permanent resident (green) card in effect until May 18, 2021; or a U.S. birth certificate. Your driver's license will not be accepted as proof of U.S. residency. Temporary work or study visas are not acceptable proofs of U.S. residency.
Aria List List the 5 arias you will video-record. Your Aria List must include Italian-, French-, German-, and English-language selections. The fifth aria may be in the language of your choice. At least one of your arias must have been composed since 1980. Your arias should showcase your range of work. Musical theater and oratorio are not accepted. To guard against copyright infringement, the Jensen Foundation recommends you post your aria video recordings to YouTube with a privacy setting of “Unlisted.” This will prevent the recording from being visible in search or on your YouTube channel (should you have one). By sharing the link, you will give private access of your recordings to the Jensen Foundation staff and judges. Please use the Selection #1 fields below to indicate your "Singer's Choice" selection - the aria you would sing first, were you auditioning in person.
