iSING! International Young Artists Festival

Since 2011, iSING! has nurtured first-rate vocal talents, helped launch careers in major opera houses around the world, presented top-tiered performances, and sponsored cultural exchange between East and West through the unique voice of the iSING! initiative. The 2019 iSING! International Young Artists Festival, which since its founding has been devoted to introducing Mandarin as a lyric language and promoting Chinese vocal music in the mainstream music world, will continue its mission of training singers in both Western and Chinese vocal repertoire.

The 2019 iSING! Festival will offer participants:

• Coaching with internationally renowned professionals from major opera houses including the Metropolitan Opera, National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing, Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, and Komische Oper in Berlin

• Once-in-a-lifetime immersion in an “East meets West” cultural exchange with fellow singers from around the world

• Performances with orchestra in state-of-the-art venues

The official home of the 2019 iSING! Festival is the Suzhou Culture and Arts Centre in Suzhou, an alluring city with a 2000-year history and hailed as “Venice of the Orient.”

As we enter our 9th year, iSING! is pleased to announce the formation of the iSING! Opera Center, focusing on original creations of contemporary operas and cutting-edge presentations of Western operas.
Details about the iSING! Opera Center and its debut 2019 production will be announced shortly.
