Houston Grand Opera (HGOco) Opera to Go! Auditions (2019-2020)

Thank you for your interest in auditioning for Houston Grand Opera's Opera to Go!

Auditions will be Friday, May 3 & Saturday, May 4 (aligning with auditions for HGO Chorus).

We present high-energy operas at schools, libraries, and community venues in fully-staged, 45-minute performances. Our season features one production of Strega Nona touring September 23-December 13, 2019 and January 27-May 22, 2020. The tour will feature five singers (Soprano, Mezzo-Soprano, Tenor, Baritone, and Bass-Baritone). Opera to Go! tours throughout the Houston area, including some overnight touring to surrounding areas in Texas. We are eager to cast singers that reflect the diverse communities of Houston.

Not all applicants are guaranteed an audition and all auditions must be done live in Houston. If an audition is granted, the time slots will be self-selected by auditionee.

We will also be listening for potential participants in our other HGOco programing.
