Fort Worth Opera Fall 2013 Auditions

This application will be used for both FWOpera Studio auditions and non-managed auditions.  Please submit only one application, and indicate what type of audition and which location you are interested in; artists auditioning for the Studio will also be considered for non-managed roles as appropriate.  Artists must submit a resume and headshot, and two audio recordings.

Auditions will be held in New York City (November 6-8, 2013), with limited auditions in Fort Worth (December 6, 2013).  All artists auditioning in New York must be available to sing at a screening audition on November 6 and, if selected, for a call back audition the following day.  (Former FWOpera Studio artists and Seagle Colony alumni do not have to do a screening audition, and will be scheduled for an audition on November 8.)   The auditions in Fort Worth are primarily for Studio artists living in Texas and surrounding states, or Studio artists with a conflict on the New York dates. 

The New York screening auditions will be a two- to three-minute, Broadway-style audition, and artists should be prepared with five or six selections.  Artists may choose which selection to sing first, and may be asked to sing portions of other arias.  Based on the screening audition, artists will be selected for a callback audition on November 7.  There is no fee for the audition, and an accompanist will be provided for both days (though you may choose to use your own accompanist).
