Recordings

Singers: Please include video recordings of two selections, at least one of which must be an opera aria in any language. Please note: Applicants are encouraged not to use one of the 28 Italian Songs and Arias as their opera aria submission, but rather a selection more appropriate for the young artist audition process. Two opera aria submissions are strongly suggested, but a second selection from musical theatre or art song repertoire is acceptable.

Stage Directors: If you don’t have videos of your stage directing work, you can submit any two videos – a brief introduction of yourself or of your singing. Write to Dr. Houghtaling at phoughtaling@ua.edu if you have questions or need guidance.

Pianists: If you don’t have videos of you collaborating with a singer, you may submit solo piano selections.
