2018 Young Artist and Apprentice Singer Auditions

Charlottesville Opera, formerly Ash Lawn Opera, is located in beautiful Charlottesville, Virginia and provides training and performance opportunities for emerging singers and pianists. Our 2018 summer season, featuring artists who have worked at the Metropolitan Opera and other renowned companies, will consist of Le Nozze di Figaro and Into the Woods, performed at The Paramount Theater in downtown Charlottesville. Young Artists, Apprentice Singers, and the Young Artist Pianist will be featured in mainstage performances, cover mainstage roles, and perform in outreach performances, master classes, and auditions. Excerpt from Le Nozze di Figaro featuring the role which you hope to perform/cover. N.B.: a recording of the specific part is preferred, but a stylistically similar recording is acceptable. Informal recordings are welcome.
